Stoke City and Hull City have both been handed fines by the Football Association following the heated scenes that erupted at full-time in their Championship clash last month.
Tempers flared after Hull came from behind to secure a 2–1 victory at the bet365 Stadium, with players and staff from both sides involved in a post-match confrontation. The situation became so heated that Stoke were forced to use the public address system to instruct players to leave the pitch.
Following an FA investigation, both clubs admitted to failing to ensure their players did not behave in an improper or provocative manner. As a result, Stoke have been fined £25,000, while Hull have received a heavier £50,000 penalty.
The increased fine for the Tigers reflects their disciplinary record, with the incident marking their fourth such breach within the past 12 months.
